Three things most folks come for.

Whether you're refilling a regular medication, moving your file from another pharmacy, or booking a flu shot — we've made each one as quick as possible. Call us at (613) 435-2111 if it's easier; we always pick up.

Our story

Part of Kanata for over a decade.

Kanata Mews Pharmacy opened its doors in 2014 with a simple goal: be the kind of pharmacy you remember from a smaller town. The kind where someone knows your name, asks how your mom's recovery is going, and actually picks up the phone.

We grew alongside the neighbourhood — Beaverbrook families, Morgan's Grant retirees, new arrivals to Kanata Lakes — and added a walk-in medical clinic in the same building so a doctor visit and your medication can happen on the same trip. No driving across town. No four-day waits.

We're still locally owned. Our pharmacists still do the consultations themselves. And we still believe a community pharmacy should feel like a community.

Adjacent to the Kanata Mews Medical Clinic

One trip. Doctor, prescription, home.

The walk-in clinic next door is part of how we serve the neighbourhood — see a doctor, fill the prescription a few steps away, and head home. We've been doing it like this since 2014.

The clinic accepts walk-ins, with separate pages for fees, schedule, excluded services, and contact details on the clinic website.

Common questions

Asked at the counter, answered here.

If your question isn't below, just call us at (613) 435-2111. A pharmacist will pick up.

Do you really deliver for free?
Yes — anywhere in the Ottawa area, at no charge. Most local deliveries go out same-day if your prescription is ready before mid-afternoon. Just let us know an address and ideal window when you call.
Can I transfer my prescription from another pharmacy?
Of course. Bring (or photograph) the bottle — we'll handle the call to your old pharmacy and have it on file in most cases by the next day. There's no charge to transfer.
What is a minor-ailment consultation, and is it covered?
Pharmacists in Ontario can assess and prescribe for a list of common conditions — allergies, UTIs, pink eye, mild rashes, headaches, and more — without you needing to see a doctor. For most patients with OHIP, the visit is covered.
How does the weekly blister pack work?
If you take several medications, we'll organize a full week of doses into a sealed, labelled pack — sorted by day and time. There's no charge for the service, and we deliver it free along with everything else.
Do I need an appointment for a flu shot?
No appointment needed — flu shots are available at the dispensary on a walk-in basis during pharmacy hours. Call us at (613) 435-2111 if you'd like to confirm availability before you head over.
Is the medical clinic next door a walk-in clinic?
Yes — the Kanata Mews Medical Clinic is a walk-in clinic in the same building. For its current schedule, fees, and any excluded services, see kanatamewsclinic.ca/walk-in-clinic or call (613) 435-7730.
